IdAuthority is world's first and unique real-time identity assurance service developed by Comodo. Part of the critical functionality of a Certification Authority, IdAuthority is the data infrastructure to verify website identities for SSL certificates. This data is compiled and maintained by Comodo as our date backbone. The end effect is a unique database of pre-validated company information run on an infrastructure to provide real-time secured business and domain name ownership.
Effectively, IdAuthority is a 'white list' of verified online businesses.
IdAuthority is now being made available to consumers so they can search for all verified businesses before they purchase. All Comodo High Assurance SSL certificates like Instant and Enterprise SSL automatically list these businesses in IdAuthority. And for all domain only SSL certificate, Comodo offers FREE registration in IdAuthority. Registration will initiate a validation process so that these businesses will be listed in IdAuthority as verified.
